Raising a child is the most important job any of us will ever do. But it’s not always easy. Sometimes just knowing there’s someone else who you can share that experience with, that can listen to you, hold your hand, wipe your tears, or laugh with you, can make all the difference.
Children 1st are launching a new coffee morning for kinship carers in the Scottish Borders. The first of these coffee mornings will be held at the Mac Arts Centre in Galashiels on Tuesday 2nd May 2017 at 10:30. The will also be attended by two kinship carers from Midlothian, who will share their experiences of being a part of a kinship care support network; and by Gill Westwood, Citizens Advice Scotland, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience in kinship care issues, particularly financial and legal matters.
When: Tuesday 2nd May 2017, 10:30-12:30.
Where: Mac Arts Centre, Bridge Street, Galashiels, TD1 1SP.
If you want to attend the coffee morning, or wish to find out about future dates, please contact Children 1st on the national kinship care helpline:
