1000 Voices interactive workshops for young people

You are the experts on growing up in care. Use your experience to inform the Care Review for future generations.

As part of the Independent Care Review, the 1000 Voices programme is running three engagement events for young people aged 14-26. The three events will be held in Inverness, Edinburgh and Paisley, and aim to give care experienced young people – including those in kinship care – the chance to share their experiences and inform the Care Review for future generations.

The purpose of the events is to create a light and engaging atmosphere in which young people (and a support worker with whom they have a good relationship) can be supported to answer two key questions:

  1. What would the best care system in Scotland look like for you?
  2. What do you think a root and branch review of the care system should include?

Your thoughts and opinions will be at the heart of the Care Review, which aims to identify and deliver lasting change in the care system and leave a legacy that will transform the life chances and wellbeing of children and young people in care.
