Podcasts

This podcast series is from the Kinship Care Advice Service for Scotland.

Here, we will share information which Kinship Carers will find useful at some point in their Kinship journey, further podcasts will be added to the page as topics are suggested and developed.

We have also been in conversation with Kinship Carers and professionals who provide family information and support for Kinship Carers in local communities.

By sharing their stories, we hope to represent the essential role of Kinship Carers, revealing why what they do is so important and to bridge connections between Scotland’s Kinship community.

If you have an idea for a podcast and would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Contact: advice@kinshipscot.org

We discuss how the Council-run support group has benefitted kinship families by continuing to meet virtually during the Covid pandemic. Bereavement support for families, the retraumatising effect of Covid and new friendships are the themes of our conversation.
