Relationships Scotland supports individuals, couples and families experiencing relationship difficulties. They have offices in Glasgow and Kilmarnock, from which they offer a range of services, including family mediation, counselling and supervised contact, to families throughout the West of Scotland.

Family Support Volunteers works with the most vulnerable and hard to reach parents and carers in West Dunbartonshire and Inverclyde to support them to make positive changes and build their parenting capacity. Volunteers focus on strengthening attachment relationships, involving them in play, outdoor activities, reading and early literacy activities, as well as financial budgeting and healthy eating.

Action for Children’s Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is a specialist family service team which supports families with young people aged 11-17 in Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire and West Dunbartonshire. FFT is a short-term intervention working with families with relationship difficulties, high levels of conflict or substance misuse and/or mental health problems. FFT therpists work with the families’ strengths to help overcome the difficulties they are facing. Referrals are made through social work.

intandem is a mentoring programme for children and young people in Kinship Care. It supports young people aged 8 to 14 years, and often carries on beyond age 14.
Mentors can make a big difference to a young person, building their confidence, helping them to try new things and set goals. By meeting regularly (often weekly), they build a positive relationship and have lots of fun together.
intandem is managed by Inspiring Scotland and delivered by 11 charity partners in 19 local authorities.

Nordoff Robbins use music therapy to help people with a range of conditions including learning disabilities, neurological disorders, life-limiting illness, brain injury, cerebral palsy, mental health issues, trauma, stroke and dementia.

PALS is an after school support play service in Clydebank for school children aged 4 to 18 years old. The children and young people who attend have a variety of support needs, however you do not need a diagnosis to receive support. Experienced and skilled staff support and encourage each individual child, through purposeful and challenging play activities, ensuring everyone has fun.

SLCo has a range of information services that provide help and advice to parents and carers about speech, language and communication. Their staff cover Dundee, Angus, Perth and Kinross, Edinburgh and Lothians, Glasgow, Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Borders and Western Isles; they organise local support groups, workshops, one-to-one support, and can arrange a Speech Language Therapist guided support service.

Sense Scotland run several projects for families with disabled children and young people in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. TouchBase is a purpose built resource centre that helps school-aged children with communication support needs to develop their skills, take on new challenges and make friends. Their Parent Enabler Project provides a range of family support, tailored to the specific needs of the family.

Y Sort-It is a youth information and support network for 12-25 year olds that live in West Dunbartonshire. They provide a range of drop-in and peer mentoring services for young people, including a peer mentoring service for care experienced young people (including kinship care).

Ypeople, formerly YMCA Glasgow, provides support to a range of vulnerable groups. Their Ypeer Mentoring project is a service for care experienced young people (aged 14-26) in Glasgow and surrounding areas, where peer mentors support young people leaving care or making another life transition.
