Family Mediation Lothian (Relationships Scotland)

Family Mediation Lothian supports families and children who are experience break up; they aim to minimise any negative effects and, where possible, prevent them from happening at all. They run a range of services, including a telephone information service, mediation services, child contact centres and children’s groups.

Home-Start West Lothian

Home-Start centres provide a range of support to families with at least one child under five years old. Each centre has trained volunteers who support families who may be struggling with isolation, physical health, bereavement or a range of other issues.

The Spark is a leading provider of couples counselling, marriage counselling, individual counselling and family counselling in Scotland. The Speech Language Communication Company (SLCo)

SLCo has a range of information services that provide help and advice to parents and carers about speech, language and communication. Their staff cover Dundee, Angus, Perth and Kinross, Edinburgh and Lothians, Glasgow, Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Borders and Western Isles; they organise local support groups, workshops, one-to-one support, and can arrange a Speech Language Therapist guided support service.

Youth Inclusion Project (West Lothian Council)

The Youth Inclusion Project provides a consistent resource and support for vulnerable young people aged 16-25 and who live in West Lothian. The project works with young people who have been looked after by the local authority, ex-offenders, those who have experienced homelessness and/or domestic violence, vulnerable young people, poor mental wellbeing, young parents and those educated at home. It aims to raise their confidence and self-esteem, work and social skills in order that they can engage in training, educational opportunities and/or employment.
